Susan is a great driving instructor, kind, firm when needs to be and above all a great tutor. I passed first time with her help.

I highly recommend Susan Claxton as a driving instructor. I tried 5 different instructors before her and failed my 1st driving test in London. The experiences were so bad that I thought I would never be able to drive in my life. Susan is really kind, responsible and encouraging. I totally recommend Susan Claxton as a driving instructor. I was so very nervous when I began learning, but Susan made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Susan is a superb instructor! I have had a couple of bad experiences with previous instructors, but she made me feel at easy, she never lost her temper and has the patience of a saint. Susan installed confidence in me, which previous instructors had sapped from me. I also always enjoyed having lessons with her and she never took advantage by making me have more lessons than I needed!. Outstanding teaching both practically and theoretically! If you feel you lack confidence when driving, definitely pick Susan! her friendly and patient approach gets you through every situation with ease. Susan is not only geared to making you pass your test, she teaches the skills you will need for life to make you and the roads safer. The paperwork about what you did in the lesson is given to you to keep, allowing you to reference it if you need to. Manovers are made so simple! Susan is very flexible and does not mind changing lessons at the last minute. A lovely Lady definitely recommended! Thanks Susan.

I was reluctant to start learning to drive but when I finally found Susan as a driving instructor, I knew I had struck lucky and that Susan was right for me. Her positive attitude to learning, enthusiasm and deadication to see me succeed really encouraged me. Thank you Susan for all your hard work and patience with me. Susan made me feel at ease from the moment I met her. She's very warm and friendly and a fabulous instructor! We always had a giggle during lessons which made me a lot less nervous as learning to drive is such a serious thing. The handouts she gives after most lessons are priceless and really helpd my understanding of what I was doing during my lessons. Since passing my test I've had so much comfidence in my driving, as Susan taught very thoroughly but in a way that is really easy to understand and remember. I would thorourly recomend Susan to any one who is looking for a safe, professional and friendly instructor : )

Since first getting in the driving seat, Susan has been able to make me feel comfortable and more importantly, confident. The extra resources she gave me kept me interested in all parts of driving and I was always keen for the next lesson. I passed first time despite having a limited number of months to do so but I was always sure that Susan would get me through it! Susan's teaching style in my own experience has been faultless. Each lesson Susan had introduced a new driving skill, yet allowing me time to practise skills I had previously developed. Before I knew it I was driving confidently and most importantly safely! I am very proud of my new driving skill and also achieving this at the age of 31. Susan is an excellent teacher with lots of patience and encouragement. The lessons are interesting and varied so that you experience a wide range of roads and get to practise your manoeuvres. I really looked forward to my lessons, and Susan is a lovely person to spend 2 hours with! Highly recommended!

Outstanding. I have my Part 2 booked for next Wednesday, I'm confident I'm going to do well, I've really got the hang of it now, everything's broken down into simple steps, effective and modular, the techniques used for one maneuver are made immediately relatable in the next. I think this is Susan's teaching style, we clicked straight away it's been fun and exciting from the first drive (I was terrified by the way!). I'm 24 and hadn't even considered driving before now, however that's prob a blessing, if you've read the above you know I landed on my feet with this one, this is one of the only reviews I've ever written! If your choosing between driving schools/instructor maybe even deciding between gender? There is a reason I sat here and put the time in :

Susan was an excellent tutor - friendly, professional and very patient with me as a first-time driving student. I was given my own personal training record to keep track of my lessons, and I passed - first time - much sooner than I thought I would! I was always nervous about making the transition from motorcycles to cars and had been putting it off for a while, I picked up the phone, had a chat and decided to go for it! The great thing about training with Susan, and why I'm enjoying it so much is that all the information you are given is very clear and concise. communication is so important when learning a new skill, and that as some of you may know, is unfortunately where some instructors are lacking!
I know I want value for money, how about you?!!
Train with Susan, you will NOT be disappointed!! :)

I passed both parts of my driving test first time thanks to Susan, she made the lesson really fun and exciting, I looked forward to my lesson every week, everything I was scared about was broken down into smaller manoeuvres till I got it, All the lessons were well thought out and planed, I would recommend Susan any day of the week.

Susan is easily the best driving instructor I've had, Susan has so much patience with me and time, she always stays calm and a is very smiley lady too! If you are feeling worried about driving but really want to do it go with Susan, she will get you though it, she's the best.
